Whitsunday Sands Resort is uniquely located on its own private peninsula, by the turquoise waters of the Great Barrier Reef. It offers all guests private access to 2 separate, magnificent beaches. We accidently landed in this little paradise! Multiple gorgeous beaches surrounding. We made a last minute booking as we wanted to get closer to our departure airport (one hour South) and got lucky that someone had made a last minute cancelation! The view from our room was a dream. Obviously a popular family resort and very busy, but still nice and quiet at night for good sleep! Would have loved to spend a week or two!

Set in Pomona, 32 km from Noosa National Park, Noosa Eco Retreat offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a terrace. This was one of the most interesting and enjoyable stays we've had in a while. The property is far enough from the big cities that you get some excellent stargazing. We also enjoyed the firepit on site. We enjoyed a visit from a small pack of curious kangaroos, one of them being ~20 feet from our yurt. The yurt is very well maintained. The bed was comfortable and the bean bags were a fun addition. There was also a lovely breakfast for us. Everything we needed was considered and provided by the hosts. We really enjoyed this glamping experience!

Went the extra mile for Easter with easter eggs and hot cross buns. Loved how quirky the accom was and also that the staff had turned the air conditioning on so the room was nice and refreshing. Awesome that complimentary bug spray and an umbrella was provided too

The view to die for. We wanted to be relaxed and lazy and we were. Beautiful little township. Well priced we thought. Very secure. The villas are amazing.

If you're a fan of nature and camping but also appreciate a luxurious room then this is absolute heaven! It's a small wooden cottage hidden away on a hill at the outskirts of Cairns city. You're at the absolute edge of the woods; beyond your cottage is the forest and the creek below. The doors of your bedroom open up to a balcony with in view only nature and the sounds of the forest, and the occasional twig or fruit falling on the roof of your cottage. You have a bath tub with jetstreams that fits 2 right in your room and a very comfortable and spacious bed. In the morning we threw open the sliding doors and got back in bed to enjoy another hour of birds singing and brush turkeys coming up to the balcony while foraging before getting up and enjoying a cup of coffee on the balcony. It was phenomenal to stay here. We almost regretted going out for a full day diving tour, because staying in would have been almost as great! We only stayed 2 nights, but had I known up front how lovely this location was I would've gladly booked longer. So to manage expectations: the cottage is an absolute dream! Be advised that there are no curtains (as this is the whole point of the cottage: being as close to nature without compromising the comfort of a 4 star hotel room), but since you're overlooking nothing else but forest the only privacy issues you'll have are with the birds outside. There are only 2 cottages, so the common area (pool and lounge/kitchen by the pool) is shared only with one other couple. The pool is very nice: good size, deep enough for a dive in and very luxurious feel to the outside lounge area with ambient lighting surrounding you on your swim in the evening hours. Everything was very clean and looked well maintained. The hosts were lovely too. I saw some reviews talking about bugs, but we didn't have any problems at all.
