Recommend a booking but also, if you are prepared to wait, tables become available in the bar. Boat journey to Farne Islands is only 200 yards away. Seeing all the birds was great. Puffins April to July is a must.

The location was wonderful with a walk across the road to the sea, a sweeping sandy beach with a view of the Farne Islands. The hotel has recently seen a good amount of investment - and this was abundantly clear - great and spacious bathroom. The accommodation was very comfortable and clean. The village has all the facilities you need and has a nice variety of pubs , providing excellent food and several top notch fish and chip shops. We found the locals very friendly. We recommend the walk along the beach to Bamburgh and visiting the Castle, Lindisfarne and the boat trip to the Farne islands.

There is a beer garden that has a view of the Farne islands and a wide expanse of sea. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food on offer was mainly traditional steak, fish and chips, but it was well cooked and arrived quickly. It is a lovely quirky hotel with little display cubby holes dotted around the corridors containing an eclectic mix of souvenirs and fishing related items.IainUnited Kingdom

We took the Serenity Boat Tour to the Farne Islands and saw Puffins, Cormorants, Gulls and others in huge flocks
We took the Serenity Boat Tour to the Farne Islands and saw Puffins, Cormorants, Gulls and others in huge flocks. We even saw Dolphins who followed our boat for a while. It was simply amazing. Andrew was our skipper and made the experience a 10/10.
