The gîte of 50 m2 in a vintage style offers everything you need for a pleasant stay for 4 to 5 people. The living room/kitchen of 28 m2 has a sitting area with 2-seater sofa and 2 armchairs and a dining table with 4 chairs. The corner kitchen has a refrigerator, dishwasher and a 4-burner gas hob. There is satellite TV (Canal Digital) and wifi. You can use a washing machine. The two bedrooms each have two box spring beds of 80x200 cm. For small children, a cot or cot can be added. The bathroom has a spacious walk-in shower, a toilet and a sink. Outside you can enjoy two private terraces (one of which is covered) overlooking the surrounding hilly landscape, take a refreshing dip in the pool or play "boules" on a real jeu de boules court.
In the summer of 1974 we drove our olive-green Citroën Diana with license plate 92-34-PS to the Côte d'Azur. It turned out to be the first of many trips to the country where we have always felt very much at home. In 2006 we bought our dream, in Montclus in the Gard Provencal. In the shade of large oaks, between forests, vineyards and lavender fields. It couldn't be more French. In the following years we have modernized and extended our French "block box" little by little to the comfortable family home where we now part of the year stay. Ceramics is our second passion. Studio Neele is our studio, named after grandma Nel, the pet of our children. In order to be able to experience our passion in France as well, we built a studio behind our house last year, combined with the holiday home.
In the area you will find interesting places. Avignon, Nimes, Montpellier and Orange are the larger, Montclus, Barjac, Uzes, Lussan, Goudargues, la Baume, Balazuc, Vogüe and Aigueze the smaller. The hills vineyards and lavender fields are a feast for the eyes. But there are also the Pont du Gard, the Gorges d'Ardeche, the waterfalls of Sautadet, les Conclues, the caves of Aven d'Orgnac and the Cavern in Vallon Pont d'Arc with beautiful prehistoric murals. Even a day at the beach can be done in la Grande-Motte or le Grau-du-Roi. No place so small or there's a weekly market. The larger markets can be found in Barjac, Uzes. Les Vans and Pont St. Esprit, there are many flea markets. The biannual antique and flea market in Barjac at Easter and Assumption of Virgin Mary is with 400 exhibitors one of the largest in France. We are an excellent base for your own Tour de France through the hills and valleys of the Cèze and the Ardèche. A ride through the Gorges de l'Ardèche with more than 1.500 meters of altitude is a real challenge. By car you are after 1.5 hours at the foot of the Mont Ventoux for a climb of 21 km!
