Featuring city views, Friendly house offers accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 2.1 km from Gorgulho - Gavinas Beach. I stayed here with my husband and my mother between December 21st and 28th and had an amazing time. The apartment is huge, kitchen is very well equipped with everything you may need. The living room is great with large smart tv. There are 3 rooms and the beds are very comfortable. One room has adjacent bathroom and there is also another bathroom that is entered from the living room. There were enough towels, soap, toilet paper and the owner sent us a message after a couple of days asking if we needed any more. The location was perfect, it took us only 5 minutes by car to CR7 parking garage in the city center. There is also a big supermarket and a takeaway restaurant just 2 minutes away by car. There are several parking spaces next to the house. The first night none were available so we parked across the street, but every other night at least one spot was available. The apartment is also very quiet. You can hear cars from the street, but there isn't that much traffic. They also have such a lovely dog. He is behind a fence so no worries if you are scared of dogs. He would never bark but would always come to greet us waving his tail when we would arrive back to the apartment which really made our day. The owner was very kind and polite. He does not speak English, but using Booking's translate option our communication worked great. I can't recommend this place enough. If we come back, we will certainly stay here again.

Featuring a patio with quiet street views, a garden and barbecue facilities, Casa do Avô can be found in Ponta do Sol, close to Lugar de Baixo Beach and 2.5 km from Ponta do Sol Beach. host is amazing, very friendly, gave just tone of useful recommendations. East to get place, you need to park outside on the road, as locals do. rooms and bathrooms super clean and astonishing amazing view. we had some barbecue with fish and while we had dinner neighbors played music, so it was just amazing vibe.

Offering garden views, Granny's house view is an accommodation situated in Funchal, 3.3 km from Marina do Funchal and 14 km from Girao Cape. Decent location (although 15 minutes from the centre; good for hikes), quite large place with a nice view.

Boasting quiet street views, Casa da Avó Duca features accommodation with a patio, around 600 metres from Banda d'Alem Beach. Very nice, quiet local place away from the road. Owner welcomed us with fruit, cookies and wine. Had a terrific stay, wish we stayed longer.

Sonho do Oceano is situated in Ribeira Brava and has a private pool and sea views. Boasting a lift, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. It was a wonderful room, wonderful hostess, clean, comfortable and a great view. Breakfast was great too. Very welcoming.

Great spot tucked in the hills with broad expansive views. The common pool/hot tub areas were a nice treat after traveling.
