Rooms were clean and the bed was really comfortable. The hostess was polite and discreetly checked whether we needed anything during our stay. Great attention was given to every detail, from decoration of the property to everything that you may need for breakfast. We really appreciated the welcoming local Bakewell tarts and wine. Thank you! 🙂 We will definitely come back!

Amazingly cosy little cottage. Was perfect for visiting the Peaks. It had even been decorated for Halloween which our kids loved. Lovely little town just 1 minute away.

Large comfortable beds, good for tall adults. All 3 bedrooms were good and no-one would feel they were short-changed. Dog walking from the cottage - on-lead in the fishing club area but access to footpaths outside this area where off-lead is acceptable Countryside code permitting. Good pubs nearby but also good equipment and storage in kitchen to make own meals (large fridge freezer, range cooker, good knives.)

Stunning location and surrounding garden and courtyard. Serene views and atmosphere. The cottage itself was beautifully designed and appointed. Very comfortable beds. Convenient small kitchen area. Good shower. Fantastic swimming pool and games room. Pub just across the road. Altogether a paradise - I didn't want to leave and I would love to go back.

Située à Saddleworth, dans un bâtiment historique, à 15 km du musée Clayton Hall, la maison de vacances The Cottage, Grotton Hall, Lydgate, Saddleworth est dotée d'un jardin et d'un barbecue. The location was great because it is next to Grotton Hall and is located through some gates behind a wall, away from the main road. It's also close to most amenities in Lydgate and everything such as pubs and supermarkets are easy to get to. Great for a hiking weekend too as the North Peak District isn't far away.
