A newly constructed hotel with tastefully furnished rooms and beautiful views of the Umbrian countryside. Manuela, one of the owners, was so kind to us and really cared about our experience (we were a group of friends, some of which have never been to Umbria). We would strongly recommend you also dine in the restaurant as the food is out of this world!!! The chef, Manuela's mum, cooks so well and puts all her heart and soul in her dishes that you will never want the dinner to finish. Great selection of wines too! We felt so sad to leave Hortus, but can't wait to be back soon. Thank you Manuela and your team for all the love and care!

The hotel, spa and pool were absolutely beautiful, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the food at their restaurant was fabulous and the room was clean and stylish. We could not have asked for a more lovely place to stay and relax after Umbria Jazz Festival! A special thank you to Danila, who looked after us at the restaurant for dinner and breakfast - nothing was too much trouble - she was so friendly and helpful - five stars to her and all of the staff!

Nothing was too much trouble for them.

This is amazing place: room was great, we had an extra bed for our 11yearold, but even with an extra bed we had plenty of space. Breakfast was very good and authentic. Analisa was super friendly and very caring. Stefano and his daughter are amazing hosts. The pool was very good. But the best thing that you hardly can see anywhere else are the animals: a lot of exotic animals living very comfortably at the farm. Not only fun for children, but my husband and I loved them too!
