I can't talk about location as we were brought here after a hike and picked up the next day, but we really enjoyed our stay as the hotel has a wonderful view from the side of the valley all the way over Imlil. My friend and I had a double room each and both had balconies. The staff were helpful. Great value for money.

We loved our stay at the Riad. We stayed there for two nights, before and after our hike to Mt Toubkal. The owners are very friendly and make you feel at home. Very tasty breakfast and dinner, amazing view from the terrace, very nice rooms with all the amenities one needs (especially the hot water was very nice after the hike ;)). Also, Parking is close by, and the staff helps with the luggage to get to the riad.

What , I like the most is the location of this place the Valley is surrounded by tiny villages located it on the cliffs of the mountains therefore we pick Arghare Village , the views where spectacular! Also the decor in the place amazing 🤩!! We had a small vehicle 🚗, my husband drove up it was a bit challenging , just take your time is part of the journey:) Said came right away and meet us. To make it easier. The next day I walk to the main village Imlil , cascades , like 25 minutes walk , everyone is nice 😊

Best place to plan to climb Jebel Toubkal (4160 m) – Morocco’s and North Africa’s highest mountain. Not only Toubkal but many other day trips and hikes can take place from Imlil including visiting Berber villages, with guides who can be hired locally with many different types of trips to meet your needs, horse, donkey or bicycle its all on offer. Note no local ATM machines so take enough cash or be prepared for a short trip to Ansi. Wherever you travel the views are inspiring.

excellent hideaway from the heat of Marrakesh.
excellent hideaway from the heat of Marrakesh.
Zarathustra restaurant cooked us a fantastic dinner, for the right price. We has a look to their rooms, and other that there was no air-con at the time, the style, price and size were very nice. Some of the rooms had shared bathroom.
We did not find good restaurants in Imlil other than the above, though we did not check other hotels and riads. there are some local restaurants that were ok, very local....

Even if you aren’t planning to hike Toubkal, I would 100% suggest Imlil for a quiet weekend to get away from the bustle and bustle of Marrakech. In my two trips to Morocco, I’ve visited Imlil three times, once for a day, once for several days on my second trip just to relax with no plans of hiking Toubkal, and then I returned with friends to hike Toubkal.
My experience with the people of Imlil is that they are genuinely welcoming and kindhearted, not just pretending to be because you’re a tourist with money, as I’ve experienced in other cities. The prices of things are also typically better than in Marrakech overall, although they are still geared towards tourists.
Despite being a few different settlements, Imlil is a small village where everyone knows each other and is happy to help you find what you’re looking for. There are plenty of guides for a day hike or for hiking Toubkal, and whatever lodging you stay at can usually help you find someone to guide you.
Overall, Imlil is my favorite place in Morocco, and coming here feels like returning home.
Hamid aït Brahim who runs the place is absolutely excellent : Helpful, resourceful, efficient. Can be trusted.
Bathroom decoration.
Good hot water.
Views over Imlil and the mountains.
Cardamon coffee for breakfast excellent.
Breakfast hot drinks available at any time before breakfast.
Excellent terrace.
Warm wood burning stove in January.
Breakfast and dinner food excellent.
All good clean and fresh.
Nice hotel personalised crockery ‘Dar Adrar’ in Tifinagh.
Possibility to leave luggage at the property while out trekking.
Staying with Rachid and exploring Imlil were the highlights of our Morocco trip! He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and helped with all of our arrangements and planning. Although we arrived late at night, he managed to organise a guide for a 1-day Toubkal up and down hike starting the next morning 5am. When we came back from our hike the Hammam and Dinner were waiting for us. Throughout all of it he was very patient with our wishes while we were on such a time crunch and made his home our home.
We booked 2 bedrooms for a 3 night stay and were incredibly happy. Really comfortable beds, gorgeous views from the balconies and hot running water :) The rooftop terrace was a great added bonus.
We ate breakfast and dinner here all 3 days and had the best tagine of our stay in Morocco.
What really made our stay though was the hospitality of Hussain and Said. They were so attentive and couldn’t do enough for us. Really helpful advice re hiking and cycling routes, and just generally very welcoming.
Beautiful quiet village location in Imlil. Picturesque walks direct from the hotel. The outdoor terraces with Mountain views are especially nice. Breakfast was served on the lower one and was delicious, We didn’t use the pool as it wasn’t warm enough when we were there as the location is already quite high in the mountains, but it looked lovely - perfect for summer. Rooms were comfortable, and the owner is very helpful. We would stay again.
This was our favourite accomodation in morocco. The hotel itself is very comfortable and cosy while being well priced. breakfast was great and the views were stunning. the sun room is great for trapping the suns heat when it’s chilly outside.
the best part though was Hassan who helps run the place, he is extremely helpful (especially if you want to do any mountain activities)
Located in a small village near Imlil, 2 kms, Hiba Lodge is a good place to stay while visiting Imlil. Nice and quiet rooms with balcony, basic but good traditional breakfast. You can order lunch and dinner in advance. The car park attendant can help if you need a hand for your baggage, as the lodge is not located near the road. Very good value for the money.
Imlil is best place in Marocco, and Riad Dar Omar is much cosy and soul Riad in this country!
Fresh air with mountain views, clean and comfortable room, large bed, hot water all the time! And we are very happy that chose this place, becouse we enjoyed our weekend at Riad Dar Omar.
Breakfast and dinner are delicious!
We would like to come back again!
A big, nice, clean room with a view over the valley, big garden and big terrace. Nice walks around, also to the village of Imlil, which is 15 minutes away .
And the caretaker Abdou was really helping in everything I needed. He found a guide to Toubkal, he explained about Berber life, always in good mood.
It was a perfect stay.
The hostel was so clean and neat , Malika welcomed us with tea and pastries, the rooms' decoration was great , and it offered a nice view over the river , the food was delicious 😋 and the staff were friendly , and i also liked the book shelve in the room especially Alan's booking that talks about trekking in morocco
The location is wonderful - you are surrounded by beautiful nature and everyone in the town was very kind. We loved hiking to nearby Imlil. The host was so thoughtful. There are many communal locations outside of your room to spend time. The food was healthy and delicious.
I truly adored the tranquil atmosphere, cleanliness, and welcoming people of the charming little paradise in Imlil. The mesmerizing view makes it a must-visit destination, and I can see myself returning multiple times; it feels like home to me in Imlil ♥️ thank you .
Everything was perfectly organized!
The place have great position near the river and in the heart of the village.
The best place for hiking and Nature lovers with fresh weather in middle of August ✨
R are 1 min walk from the hotel.
The location of the hotel is very conveniet and the view is amazing and the hosts did everything to make us happy. we took the imlil suite which was amazing. we are already planning to go back there
I had a very good experience at riad imlil, i stied there for three nights. The place was clean, calm and i have been served very will. The sheets and bad was very confortable and clean.
This little Gite is run by a very knowledgeable and helpful licensed guide. The rooms are simple but this is not a luxury hotel. It is a cozy place to have easy access to Imlil.
The view from the house is exceptional, the staff is very friendly, helpful, and speaks good English. Amazing quality for the money. The best place we stayed at in Morocco.
