Central location, great host Nikos and friendly helpful staff, clean and well maintained, lovely pool area. Helped with bags to/from room. Right next to main area with shops, bars and restaurants and 3 min walk to beach. Good snack/light meal menu & drinks/smoothies available. Clean bedding/towels changed every 3 days, room/bins tidied daily and toilet rolls supplied. Basic kitchen equipment including kettle and mugs and also included teatowel which is often missing from other apts I've stayed in. Good shower head fixed to wall and could take off for rinsing sandy feet etc and 2 bathmats so you could keep one at bathroom door to keep main room dry. Loved that swallows' nests were protected on balconies and not removed - was notified of this/any mess in the balcony corner was cleared and not a problem to share, so nice to see the swallows coming and going!

We had the most amazing 9 nights at Zante Suites, I really cannot recommend it enough. The apartment, pool and bar were great and the location perfect. However the real standout thing about this place is the team…Maria and Alex were amazing! Nothing was too much trouble and we were so well looked after.

We liked the very small beach just below the Shoestring bar...
We liked the very small beach just below the Shoestring bar and restaurant and when we occasionally ate out of an evening we liked the Lemon Tree Taverna just 200m from the apartment. Alikanas is easy to get around and has a couple of reasonable supermarkets and tourist shops. It has a pharmacy and a private emergency medical centre.

Home away from home.
Home away from home. Whether you've visited multiple times or for your first trip you will be treated as a long lost friend throughout the resort. Every restaurant and bar has it's own special charm but all are worth a visit. Many bars and hotels allow you to use their pool and facilities. Alykanas beach is a shallow, sheltered cove and Rasa provides a more remote but picturesque alternative. Shoestrings is certainly worth the walk.

This is our 3rd time in Alikanas, its such a lovely location...
This is our 3rd time in Alikanas, its such a lovely location its lovely and flat for people to get around you can walk straight onto the beach from the road there is plenty to do and plenty to see with the locals willing to help they are very friendly. The views are amazing, its only a short drive from the airport which is good.

It was great but stay away from golden dolphin company.
It was great but stay away from golden dolphin company. They offers cruisis arround the island is not worth it find another company. Alikanas is best place for vacation on zante. Its not so crowded and loud as laganaki on southern part of island. And there are also better prices and people are very friendly and nice.

Everything is new inside (contrary to my experience in Greece where you usually find some old or broken furniture) and extremely clean. Photos fully correspond to what we saw in the room. Cleaning every day and changing bed sheets every three days exactly as described. Wi-Fi and air-con worked fine. Nice patio. We used kitchenette and refrigerator a little too. Short walking distance to the beach. Maria is a super friendly host! Would definitely come back again if visiting Zakynthos again.

We stayed in the new block where the rooms are modern and well appointed. The pool area is large and there was never a shortage of beds. The breakfasts are lovely and a nice variety. The Grapevines is in a quiet location about 15 minutes to the beach and a stroll to the bars and restaurants. Andi, the owner is friendly and very obliging as is the new bar man. We had a slight problem with the toilet but this was fixed straight away by the helpful owners father. The bed was comfortable and for the first time was a double. There is no pool but use of a small hotels 3 mins away. Beach is about 20 mins to 30 mins walk but we like that. We were downstairs this time although our preference is for upstairs. Alex and his family are very kind, always paying attention to all the details (e.g. food, accommodation, recommendations for places to visit) and providing you with the best experience as their guest. We loved the fact that the windows were well isolated - if we cooled the room at night, it was comfortable to sleep till the morning - the heat didn't enter the apartment. The furniture, kitchen - everything was enough for our needs. We also liked the fact that it was possible to go on foot to Alikanas centre and it was easy to get to the main road by car.

Rooms are cleaned on a daily basis with plenty of clean towels provided. I found it very peaceful even though it is close to everything, a few minutes walk to beach. The property was also a few minutes from bars, restaurants the local pier where we managed to get a boat trip from. It’s very close to the town of Alikanas (less than 5 mins by car.
