The Duty Manager was wonderfully helpful when we couldn’t get the heating to work in any of the three bedrooms. She cam and sorted it out while we were having supper. Excellent service.

Really nice staff, good food served in the restaurant with good service. The breakfast was excellent. Good value for money, if I were to stay in the area again, this place would be on the list.

Elaine, the host, provided a warm welcome and was available for any questions.
I loved the location, ideal for exploring the Central Belt and The Trossachs. Wallace Monument is a short drive away and the location perfect for local shops and the retail park.
Brewers Fayre across the road, did not cater for my dietary requirements. I am gluten and yeast intolerant so an evening meal there was not suitable. I can however recommend The Holly Bank restaurant a short drive away.
The bed was very comfortable in the accommodation, location quiet too.
We liked the little garden at the front. We travelled with our dog, so the lane up the side was perfect for the toilet breaks.

Lovely town! We were sorry to be here for only one night.
Lovely town! We were sorry to be here for only one night. We should have stayed two, as there were a few other attractions that we did not get to see. We loved the castle, Church of the Holy Rude and the cemetery.

Stirling exceeded our expectations. It was rich in history.
Stirling exceeded our expectations. It was rich in history. The locals were very friendly and helpful. There was a wide variety of restaurant options. Even the thrift stores were top notch. There were several options to enjoy entertainment. We highly recommend the Settle Inn (on St. Mary’s Wynd) the oldest ale house in town (300+yrs). We were very moved by the traditional folk music performed by the locals. We also recommend joining in on one of the free guided tours in the Castle. It’s a great way to get to know the gossip of the royals and renegades.

There is so much to see and to absorb if you love history and want to know where your ancestors came from. Essential: talk to people wherever you go. There is so much to learn from those who staff the historic sites! Dee and Trisha were great sources of info. See Holy
Rude Church and the connected graveyard. Wow! Always ask for the hidden or less seen places. The Stirling Smith Art Gallery and Museum is a quirky gem. (It has the oldest known football.) Things to remember: walking is great, but challenging. Taking a taxi sometimes makes you miss some of the things, however, like going through the graveyard at Holy Rude.

I really liked Stirling however the stress of being unable to access the Mar Apartment as pin to access was not sent and which we had paid for through Booking.com and having to go searching for alternative accommodation at 8pm was the most stressful and upsetting thing I have ever experienced on holiday. The owner was uncontactable although I tried to call her 20 times and sent several emails and Booking.com did not help just kept saying to ring the owner. The situation has become even more upsetting as both Booking and the owner of the Mar Apartment are refusing to refund my money. Will never return to Stirling. Will never use Booking.com again. Awful experience.

Stirling is a lovely area.
Stirling is a lovely area. The castle is really interesting but there is a lot of walking on cobbles. We are getting on a bit so found it a bit uphill and down dale but well worth a visit. 20 minutes drive from Stirling are The Kelpies and the Falkirk Wheel. The Kelpies are amazing and if you book a tour they take you inside, a must for any engineer. Falkirk Wheel is more interesting watching from outside but is an absolute master in engineering. Stirling town centre had a lovely shopping Mal we just found it busy and difficult to park.
Great location. Thistle shopping centre 6 min walk down the hill. Stirling castle and old town jail a short walk up the hill.
Lots of coffee shops and cafes round about. The Spa was available to use throughout our stay and was fantastic. Nice size pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi.
Food was a high standard and well presented.
Rooms have everything you need but are a little dated.
Cat parking available at the hotel Free of charge.
Overall great value and would definitely stay again.
Tastefully decorated, comfy & well equipped self catering accommodation for a family of four including picnic table on veranda & lovely views of fields full of horses outside.
Great facilities including washing machine, clothes horse etc.
Also lots of activities on site: children's play areas & giant bouncing pillow, horse riding, fishing etc.
Also close to Stirling, great for visiting Stirling Castle & also the Falkirk Wheel & the Kelpies sculpture in Falkirk.
The accommodation is located just outside Stirling (with excellent parking space for all guests) in a very tranquil area. Lovely garden outside with sitting area.
Spacious bathroom (compared to other B&B we stayed in Scotland) and much appreciated tea & coffee facilities (and hairdryer). We booked a triple room that was exactly as advertised.
15/20 minutes away from Midhope Castle and Hopetoun House (for Outlander fans) and just 30 minutes from Edinburgh airport.
The owner is so welcoming and obviously a superbly experienced host. From tea and biscuits served in the huge lounge (great views across the garden) on our arrival to homemade bread at breakfast. The latter was fabulous and so much choice. Laura was able to give us maps and information about the area and was very warm. 15 mins walk to town. The room was gorgeous with a small outdoor terrace. Free parking. An absolute must if you stay in Stirling.
The location of the hotel was great, walking distance to the city centre and Stirling castle. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and both were good, especially the cooked to order b'fast.I did appreciate the console table with a mirror and a stool which is so hard to find in any hotel room. This was the only hotel we visited in Scotland which had a good hair dryer with the front part not missing. If you're a woman, you know what I mean!
The hotel is very convenient to the train and bus stations. I cannot say enough good things about the staff, they were all very polite and helpful. The hotel is also a restaurant and bar which was nice, and the food is very good! The room was great, with a very comfortable bed and a big bathtub that you can soak in after trekking all day around Stirling.
Very comfortable, cosy house. Every need catered for. Lovely garden. Extremely comfy beds. Good location within easy reach of Stirling city centre and places of interest. Lots of booklets etc provided on Scotland and a comprehensive guide to Stirling and the accomodation rules. Welcome basket with breakfast essentials a really lovely touch.
Lovely guest house in the city centre. It is typical British shabby chic, so don’t expect the Sheridan hotel, but it was absolutely perfect for our need and would always book again. The breakfast cheap and yummy, the kids liked it. Staff very friendly and helpful. There was plenty coffee and tea and toiletries available
Excellent, very clean apartment in location close to centre. Very impressed with the modern bathroom and kitchen and all the little extras. Also impressed with the large screen TV compared with the tiny TV we had in a hotel on last visit to Stirling - well worth the extra money paid compared to that hotel room.
Friendly & Welcoming staff, good selection provided at buffet breakfast, hotel situated in town centre, so close to amenities & transport links, Been here in the past, and will return to this hotel in the future. Will recommend hotel to anyone who wishes to visit Stirling. Well done team Golden Lion 🤗
We didn't eat there, our budget not enough for their restaurant. Wetherspoons and lots of eateries in Stirling Lovely hotel in old Victorian school. Quirky. Modern extension done in Renee Macintosh style- lovely. Staff great. Nice pool and leisure centre. Dog friendly. Big car park.
From entering the venue the staff were amazing and very professional.
The room was clean and I used the bar area and the drinks were reasonably priced for a hotel with very nice friendly staff.
The breakfast buffet in the morning was very nice and the food was really nice and hot
The Stirling Court Hotel had plenty of parking and the staff were very friendly and efficient. it is right next to the Wallace Monument and is within walking distance of the Stirling town centre. it was comfy and cosy and certainly did the job!
Breakfast absolutely super best breakfast we’ve had in a hotel for a very long time
Apartment spacious
Location perfect for city centre Stirling with a car park behind that was reasonably priced
Staff delightful and helpful
Liked how central the Hotel was
Price was fantastic for 2 rooms
Shower was good although bath took a while to fill.
Staff were very accommodating for our problems as we had a few mishaps with key cards on our behalf.
Fantastic location, not too far from Stirling city centre.
Friendly staff who are extremely accommodating.
The children loved the play area and seeing the horses from the Equestrian Centre.
The staff were so amazing! I would go back just for them!! The hotel is lovely and the food is very good. The location was convenient to lots of things we wanted to see. Stirling is beautiful.
I loved that the hotel is right on the university campus and located conveniently to the bus stop.
It was great that there was a bathtub in the room!
The staff were friendly and accomodating.
It was very close to the train station. You get a full featured apartment for less then the cost of a hotel room. The people of Stirling were friendly and very helpful.
