Well located for access to from M25/M3/Heathrow. It was a good base for a 2 day visit to Windsor & then Twickenham. Trains run regularly to both. Town was well facilitated with shops, food outlets both major and independent businesses

We stayed in Staines because it's close to Windsor and we were visiting the castle. The view of the river Thames from our hotel (The Swan) was lovely. It was interesting to watch so many different boats, kayaks and barges passing by. Hotel has lovely views right on River Thames.
Hotel has lovely views right on River Thames. Staines Town shops are poor. Plenty of eateries everywhere. Interesting buildings if you look for them, but shopping is going downhill fast. I used to live here & notice the difference. If you love the river, you will like Staines-upon-Thames & you can walk a long way on the path.

The bed had been remade every day when we returned. Breakfast was a very good standard, and there was a good choice. Staff were friendly and efficient. The location is ideal for walking into Staines. I recommend the Chinese restaurant in town. It serves a buffet which includes a fantastic number of starters, mains and desserts, including a chocolate fountain! Delicious.

I had a flight delay so needed a place near the airport last minute. This happened to be the cheapest but also comparable with some 4 star hotels I stayed in.
