The staff were very kind, attentive and friendly and looked after us well after our long flight. The bed was comfortable with clean linen.
The hotel was very close to Gatwick North and we used the public bus as it was only £2 pp with a close bus stop (9a) and frequent 24 hour service.

Loved that it had one of the best tasting curry restaurants I’ve ever had! (I love Indian food) super helpful cheap airport transfer and parking also! Beds are super comfortable also!

The property it’s fantastic with traditional old charm that’s been sensitively preserved. Warm and cosy rooms to meet with friends and an excellent group dining room at serve the 10 of us very well. The ground is too spectacular, quiet and relaxing, and even though it’s close to Gatwick Airport, there seems to be no noise pollution.
Directly connected to Gatwick Airport’s North Terminal, Hampton by Hilton London Gatwick Airport offers high-quality hotel accommodation, and a restaurant, bar and fitness entre.

The Wetherspoon pub was in the centre of town a 20 min walk from my accommodation which was at the middle distance between the town and the airport. People appeared friendly but as a transient resident I got ripped off by the locals. The tapas restaurant was open for customers but the cider was so sweet I could not drink it and I was told it was Spanish which I frankly doubt as I was not shown any label and the drink was pored for me without my getting to see it. I'll avoid the tapas bar the next time I need to visit the city prior to going on holiday or when I need to stay overnight on my return from holiday.

There was a great pub called 6 bells. The staff were lovely and Wayne the proprietor really looked after me as did all the staff. The food I had was excellent. The pub itself is unofficially the 2nd oldest pub in England. It was easy to walk to from The Corner House.

Very comfortable rooms, friendly efficient staff, good choice of restaurants in the evening with lovely food. Breakfast could improve as while everything is well laid out with plenty of choice the food is not being kept hot enough and is quite cold by the time you take it back to your table which is a shame as it’s good quality food. It was the same for both visits.

Travelers should be warned there there are steep steps to get to the room (unless you book the downstairs room). This was a huge surprise and problem for us as we had a lot of heavy baggage and it could not be left downstairs.

Horley is a fairly safe town to spend the night before/after a flight. It has nice food shops & cafes. Near to Gatwick but not noisy. Quiet, pleasant. A bus ride to Crawley, an easy train to London. Not overpriced.
Best place is the 8 Bells (or is it 6 Bells?!) down a residential road just off the main road & by the parish church - lovely! - its a delightful oldy-worldy country gastro pub on the doorstep, which is well-known for great food & atmosphere.
People usually find Horley pleasant... you can safely walk around & there is a Lidl & Waitrose within walking distance (in the centre)... The local Wetherspoons does a good cheap breakfast. (Later, the fish & chips/burger are ok, so ok for cheap filling food. Be warned, though, the manager could do with some improvement!)
Horley is great for overnight stays, before moving on!

Manchester was my Favorite place, i eat mostly breakfast at the hotel,
it was ok getting around Horly as my stay there was not long, my next visit is avoid going to the all season guess house in Gatwick,
The bed was about the most comfortable of any that I have slept in in any hotel. Wow.
The manager was very kind to change my room when I requested a bath tub rather than a shower.
The shuttle service to and from Gatwick airport worked perfectly for me.
I was not aware that the temple for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is so close to this airport and hotel. I included a photo of that temple from my visit. An easy taxi ride got me there and back.
The location couldn’t be more convenient unless staying at an airport hotel at two to three times the price. The local bus, which stops directly in front, leaves the airport several times an hour and only takes 5 minutes. The owners are always available and very accommodating. I have stayed there twice and will again when I layover at Gatwick. An easy walk to the train station and a quick trip to Victoria station.
Excellent location close to Gatwick Airport. There is a shuttle bus service that runs 24 hours to and from the hotel. The shuttle cost us only 4.50 pounds per person each way. The hotel was clean, spacious and our bed was very comfortable. There is an on-site restaurant and bar and room service is available. Staff are friendly and helpful. Price is fair.
The bus from Gatwick's south terminal takes around 15-20 min to reach the hotel and then you'll need to walk for 5'. There is a fuel station close enough to the hotel (5 min walk), where you can take a snack. It also takes around 20 min to reach the center of Horley and have a beer and something to eat. I'd recommend taking a pizza from Papa John's.
We needed a convenient, comfortable hotel for our early morning flight out of Gatwick. The Hilton was perfect. It's connected to the south terminal with a covered walkway and a 5-10 minute walk, so even if it's raining, there's no problem getting to the airport at any time of day or night and the room was clean and comfortable.
The hotel is convenient for Gatwick airport (is is possible to walk if you know about the Sussex Border Path which will get you between the Gatwick Travelodge and the North Terminal). The Black Horse Pub is nearby which does above average pub meals. The ensuite was large albeit with a too-small shower module.
1. Great location - bus stop right outside the hotel to the airport (early morning too). Very good proximity to Gatwick airport, the area is superb, with nice houses. There is a Waitrose to buy food and a few takeaways.
2. Super rooms- The room was cosy and warm, nice sofa, TV, clean, and the ensuite was nice.
I booked this hotel because of the UK heat emergency and my fear that the rail network would be affected by Tuesday. I think this is an excellent hotel. You are 100 metres from the Gatwick North EasyJet check in area, but you would not know that in the hotel. Very nice room.
Excellent location to town of Horley for coffee shops and dinner and very close to Gatwick Airport - a short taxi ride away! Staff was kind and helpful. Rooms were comfortable and we were able to get rested after long travel days.
Well run hotel, I had to leave early so could not try the breakfast.
The bus stop to the airport is either in Massets Road towards Horley or on the Brighton Road.
Would stay here again as access to Gatwick is so easy.
The bathroom was amazing. The room was quite big for airport hotel and the breakfast had many choices. It was ala carte and buffet. Great place if you wanna stay close to the Gatwick airport. There is free transfer
Well located within Gatwick, right next to the departures area. The hotel was quiet with good sized rooms and good amenities. Staff were friendly and the check in and check out processes were easy and stress-free.
It was very close to Gatwick airport. The bus stop was just 2 minutes away. Just 1 stop to the airport.
They had a nice restaurant in the hotel. The food was very good. The waiter very friendly.
Location, location, location. Hotel is in North Terminal of Gatwick Airport, very easy to reach with luggage cart. Hampton Inn has restaurant which is unusual for most Hampton Inns.
Sofitel is a very well located hotel to Gatwick north terminal. The reception area is quite impressive. The rooms are of a nice size and the beds are extremely comfortable.
