Grassington is a very popular pretty village located in the Yorkshire Dales park. The village has been made famous by the filming of All creatures, great and small. It Has plenty of good bars, restaurants and eateries. Parking is a bit tight during summer periods. If you wish to stay in the area I would suggest to book early.

Wonderful village with excellent amenities and ideal for scenic walks followed by food! great range of cafes, pubs, hotels, fish and chips and a variety of shops. Only slight niggle is the parking is slightly expensive at £3.50 for 2 hrs or £5.50 all day - although card machines were easy to use. There is limited free parking in the village itself but limited to 2 hrs and generally full

Grassington is a lovely place & well worth a visit.
Grassington is a lovely place & well worth a visit. There are pubs, restaurants & cafes, all of which are of a very good standard. It's small & quaint and a great base for walking from. It's great!
Wonderful location in the centre of Grassington ( fictional village for All Creatures Great and Small) and they were filming whilst we were there. Lovely old property nicely refurbished, rooms comfortable although not large . Beautiful garden and on site parking although don't bring a very large SUV. Superb breakfast and several places to eat withing a few yards of the property ( the Indian was surprisingly good for a change ! ). Owners extraordinarily helpful and lots of nice touches in the house. Would not hesitate to go back.
Lynette and Dave are lovely hosts and their B&B is all you can wish for: delicious breakfast and a cosy atmosphere. It was all very clean and it's really about the little bits and pieces that make this place so special. You can feel that Lynette and Dave put a lot of work, effort and joy into it.
It's located maybe a 5 minutes walk from the river and maybe 10 minutes walk from Grassington with its pubs, little shops, etc.
It is a beautiful place and a good one to explore the Yorkshire Dales.
We were looking for a traditional B&B to stay at, on our way north. This place fits the bill perfectly. It is in a charming location in the Yorkshire Dales. Mary is a great host and made sure our stay was very comfortable. She cooked us a delicious full English breakfast in the morning. We didn't have much time there as we were travelling, but we were able to fit in a short walk down to the suspension bridge on the river Wharf and tea at the local tearoom. A very enjoyable interlude.
The Emthwaite Escape must be the top place that my wife and I have stayed at in our long marriage. All facilities were excellent. The view from the window/garden was tranquil and spectacular.
The hosts were kind enough to put milk, cold water and cans of Coke in the fridge, as well as biscuits and crisps on the table.
We spent three evenings sitting on the patio area admiring the beauty that is the Yorkshire Dales.
We would recommend the Escape to all who want peace and quiet.
Excellent food, we had dinner and breakfast. High quality products, very well presented and delicious.
The hotel was very clean and the staff were really friendly and helpful.
The location is great for beautiful country walks in the Yorkshire dales. The village has a few pubs and lots of cafes, galleries etc. Really pretty village.
Superb stay one again at Grassington House, everything about this place is exceptional, we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and already looking forward to coming back soon. The staff are super friendly and the restaurant is wonderful. We would most definitely recommend this hotel.
Excellent quality of food!
We enjoyed our diner and breakfast very much!
The public footpath into Grassington which takes you through the fields is well recommended! It is only 2 miles and besides the magnificient views you get, you will be able to have that extra drink in town!
great cottage just a short walk out of the centre.
good size for 4 adults.
loads of parking space.
we loved the garden which was enclosed for our two dogs. also lovely patio to sit and enjoy the amazing views.
had a lovely time and will definitely be going again 👍
Grassington was possibly the most charming little village I have ever visited, and the Devonshire just made the experience all the better. The room was nice and spacious and very clean. The food was excellent. The staff were very friendly.
Excellent pub/hotel right in the heart of Grassington. Double room had everything we needed and the breakfast each morning used good quality ingredients. Staff were fabulous. Local area has lots to see/do. Dog friendly too pub too!
The staff were very helpful. We arrived with sodden clothes from a downpour and were offered use of the tumble drier. Bed was v comfy. Room was small but smart. Breakfast at The Devonshire Hotel was excellent.
Everything was perfect for a short break in the Yorkshire Dales, couldn't have asked for more. Rooms were clean and comfortable, the host was nice and breakfast was delicious (especially the sausages)
The Old Hall Inn is in a great location for exploring the Yorkshire dales. The staff were very welcoming and we’d recommend having dinner in the restaurant as food was great.
Location is quiet and peaceful. Beautiful surroundings. Friendly and helpful staff only 10 minutes from Grassington. Hotel has a lot of original features and wooden beams
Beautiful location, lovely quiet hotel, it's old and a bit dusty but that's okay, has everything you need lovely bath tub, evening meal and breakfast very nice
