Rooms 2: size was great although our kids would have preferred the bunk bed option instead of the fold out beds which were ok for one night but not longer. Our main king bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was a great size for a family. Nice to have an indoor and outdoor pool option.

The room was very clean and comfy, with a lovely view from the back of the property which is in a nice quiet setting. The bathroom has a nice powerful shower. Jeanette provided a delicious breakfast in the dining room in the bright conservatory where I could eat while watching the ponies and bird life. She was also very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this B&B.

Brockenhurst was a great location for us as we were visiting...
Brockenhurst was a great location for us as we were visiting Beaulieu motor museum. We wished we had stayed for longer as we would have had time to explore more like some of the beautiful walks. On our way to the motor museum we drove through the national park the scenery was lovely. We had evening meal at The Filly Inn the food was excellent.AAnonymous - 6.0Scored 6.0
Can get very busy and crowded during peak holiday periods.
Can get very busy and crowded during peak holiday periods. Best times to enjoy the New Forest are probably early Spring or Autumn. Parking a car or larger vehicle can be very frustrating at peak times and electric charge points are very limited in public access areas.

Brockenhurst is only a small forest village but it has lots of fantastic pubs and even a hotel.with a spa. It's central for visiting the new forest and the train station makes a day trip to Bournemouth car free! Lots of walking on the doorstep, period houses, ponies and donkeys walking about and a great bakery for picnics .Coster - 10Scored 10

Beautiful place to stay. Would recommend staying or visiting. The snakecatcher was a great place to eat along with the local curry house. There was plenty of places to get your food shop done and the people of Brokenhurst are so friendly. Where else can you go shopping and bump into donkeys!AAnonymous - 10Scored 10

The Forest Hotel was Excellent I had a single room for 3 nights very clean adequate small room for one person, with double bed, bathroom & shower, including good size bath towels & small towels, & 5 different shower gels, in the room was a small section to Hang Clothes , Good Choice of Coffee / Tea self maker & 2 bottles water. This was an excellent hotel as I was here to attend a Wedding in Brockenhurst on my first day, on my free day I had a lovely day visiting Beaulieu Palace House and Motor Museum, I booked the local Brockenhurst Taxi to Beaulieu and for my return to hotel £24 each way was very convenient for me. I had dinner in the Forest Hotel Restaurant on 2 evenings good menu well presented & served dishes, Breakfast was Excellent help yourself buffet choice, Hot breakfast Choice with waiter service, Excellent daily Croissants & I liked there Bacon,Green - 8.0Scored 8.0
House was in perfect position just by local shop.

Very well equipped cottage and a lovely little private garden. The bottles of wine on arrival were a lovely welcome as was the basket of biscuits and tea/coffee/hot chocolate. The gate through to the hotel car park was very handy for going into the hotel to use the spa. We would recommend a meal at Beresford, the restaurant in Balmer Lawn hotel, the food and service were fabulous.

Our room had been upgraded to the four-poster room when we checked in, which was a lovely surprise. The hotel management had also left a gift and card for us in our room. The Spa facilities were a great extra that made our stay very relaxing. All of the staff were amazing and really helpful. The lady on reception gave us some great tips for exploring the local area.

The rooms were comfortable and well equipped and the breakfast was excellent. The property is ideally located in the centre of Brockenhurst so everything is easily accessible. There is onsite parking which is helpful and we were able to leave our car there in advance of checking in later in the afternoon.

No other hotels in the region beat the Cottage Lodge Hotel. The staff is always friendly, rooms very cleaned, and we love the fact that sustainable and local products are being used. We will be back soon to our favourite getaway.
