Sarasota is great! There are plenty of restaurants and stores to go to. plenty of beaches. When going to the beach search on public access to avoiding having to pay for parking. We really enjoyed staying in this Apartment. It had everything we needed Only complaint was that beach umbrella had no way to secure it to the ground. No screw in to ground. 2 beach chairs were great. 3 others in closet were not usable. We loved the screened in balcony. Apartment was clean and nicely decorated. Kitchen was great. To be honest it was a business trip made short with airport delays, missing connection flights and lost luggage. I arrived well after 8pm to be fair to the hotel. I missed the business dinner with half dozen of my colleagues and totally scrambled eggs event. My luggage arrived 6 hours prior my flight departure back home.

The historic tiki bar is super cute, but was understaffed on our visit. The Golden Host is located on a section of US41 with some older motels, but is within a few miles of many restaurants, roads to beaches and the Sarasota airport.

(No smoke or mold/mildew smell like cheaper hotels) The room itself is nicely done with the right ambience. I have become a regular, because of this, and we love booking here!
