Breakfast was 10/10 - so much to choose from and the food is truly delicious. Everyone is so nice and polite, they even helped surprise my fiance with sparkling wine and a cake for his birthday. They were so helpful and friendly. Thank you again to the whole Materra team! :)
Wellness was top notch. The views from the pool and saunas - just wow. Everything was perfectly clean.

Wonderful city, excellent continental cuisine, many "chardas" to choose from. European avenue a "must walk" for the unique city experience, I also recommend the visit to the Tvrđa. Osijek is extremely walkable, very charming.

Peaceful smaller size city with lots of bike lanes, walking promenades, riverside and beach activities, great restaurants and very welcoming people. Perfect place for a calm vacation but with all the amenities and services that one city can offer.

I like very much the architecture of the older parts of the city.I love walking near the river in the mornings or during the night. There is beautiful sand beach on the other side of river, where you can have nice swim in the river or in the pools. You can have perfect Osječko beer in a lot of bars in city center. There are very good restaurants in the city and in a closer range outside the city. You must see cathedral which is by me the nicest church in Croatia. But the best of Osijek is the warm and generous people of Osijek who will make you remember your stay for the rest of your life.

Small, cosy, neat town.
Small, cosy, neat town. There is nothing impressive to see, but it is a very nice town to be in, and many options for visitors in the surroundings around. The people are friendly, the place is secure, the food is excellent as everywhere in Voivodina after all, and one can have long walks, visit the old city, and nearby destinations as Coparcki Rit, or Pamuk.

Osijek is a little hidden gem.
Osijek is a little hidden gem. This was my first visit but I'd be happy to return. Fantastic seccession architecture in the town centre, a lovely old town in the "Fortress/Citadel" area (with cafes, bars etc) and on the other side of the bridge I found some great restaurants (with special mention to "Csingi Lingi Csarda") and vineyards. A very enjoyable few days in Osijek.

Osijek is a hidden gem in Croatia.
Osijek is a hidden gem in Croatia. The town may seem empty at first but the locals seem to follow their own schedule and know exactly where to be at the right time.
There are two centres: the main centre, and the "tvrda" (fortress town). Both are filled with excellent pubs and night clubs.
If per chance you are into the techno / industrial scene, we happened to book our place next to "Voodoo". Not my scene but perfect for alternative / metal types.
Note: the best restaurants in Osijek are not in Osijek but in Baranje, just north of the river.
Huge room in old fashioned city hotel. It's rather faded now but still shows how elegant it must have been in past days
Very friendly helpful staff all speakung good English
Sumptuous breakfast buffet beautifully presented
Fabulous location on central square of the very handsome town of Osijek
Handy for cycle touring along the Danube on Eurovelo 6
Easy secure bike storage
A proper bath - perfect after a hard day cycling
Genuinely attractive art on walls in the room
Good sound proofing in the room
The location for Osijek, perfect. Right on there main square. Private parking, a safe, secure hotel. The morning staff member, I think she might be the owner, Sandra, was beyond authentic fro her love of Croatia and making sure the guest, meal was taken care of. Breakfast, she brought out a few fruits, and honey to try. Pushed double espressos, never a bad thing. She cared. Even mapping out a small local trip I could take. The price was ridiculously good value.
Very cozy and nice place with a rural touch. Peaceful and quiet. Don’t hesitate to discover some of domestic animals living nearby or wandering through the backyard. You happen to speak some Croatian as well? Just ask your hosts - they would be more than happy to walk you through the greenery and show you the garden with different sorts of fruits and vegetables they grow and take care of on everyday basis.
Great atmosphere! Hotel staff is the best staff we ever worked with. We had some issues with our artist (not connected with hotel) who stayed in the hotel, hotel staff helped us and had a lot of understanding for our mistake. So this is the best hotel we had in our business. Every recommendation and will stay at Maximilian again! Friendly staff, the nicest hotel in town Osijek!!!
Close to main railway station which was a huge plus for coming by train and planning trips outside of Osijek. Closeness of Konzum and McDonald's was also a nice perk :)
Apartment was clean and equiped with all useful kitchen appliances as advertised (fridge, stove, microwave, kettle...).
All in all, a good place for long or short stays.
Huge apartment with everything you may need. Even microwave and dishwasher. Host was extremely friendly and caring. We got a bottle of good wine, tea while checking in and a huge chunk of cake during checking out. All the heaters are modern and can.be fine tuned.
Place is in the walking distance of the center of osijek.
The apartment is not far away from the city center and it's newly built. There are several stores and a bakery nearby. The internet connection was good and stable. The communication with the owner Tanja was quick and easy. All in all, the apartment has everything that you need for your stay and exploration of Osijek.
This is an OK hotel for a short stay (we stayed 1 night).
It is an older hotel which was semi-refurbished, so there are some updated facilities (I would say mainly lobby and restaurant)
Staff was nice
Room and bathroom were clean
We got a room with a view of the river, that was nice.
It was a perfect choice for our one week stay in Osijek, because of it's closeness to city center and to the riverside. The whole apartman is clean and very well equipped and a bonus point was the good music sounding from the speakers, which gave a nice, chill, cozy atmosphere.
Great location, nice room, nice lobby and bar/restaurant area, but unfortunately that is all that is left from old glory days of this hotel. I can recommend it for business traveler, but that's all - don't expect anything else but fair sleep and good location.
Its a cozy and clean appartment right in the centre of Osijek. Host is very wellcoming and friendly. We got all the details in about the enterance in Advanced and even a lovely wellcoming surprise in the appartment. Felt like we’re at home.
We were guest in time of Advent and location was just perfect. Staff was exceptional, made us feel very welcomed. Hotel and room cosily and everything was walking distance. I would definitely stay here again .... Thank you guys !
A warm and friendly reception to a centrally located hotel.
The service from all the staff was exceptional.
The food served both at breakfast and dinner was superb.
Our room was spacious and well equipped.
Comfortable and clean motel and bar. Friendly family run place with a smile and a cold beer waiting for you after a day's ride. Walking distance to Osijek for the unlazy. Good stop before heading into Serbia.
The establishment is simple and super cozy. The owner is very sweet and friendly. She makes us feel at ease, and has a very simple way of working when it comes to getting guests settled into the hotel.
We loved our stay at InOsijek! The accomodation was spotless and the host was very kind, location is great and there is parking right in front.
Definitely staying there again when in Osijek
