Cold AC, no power cuts and a super comfy bed. (which we keep realising is a rarity in India) so worth it just for that.

Jodhpur has a rich cultural heritage and the people of Jodhpur are lovely. My favourite experience was visiting Mehrangarh Fort, it was beautiful. My guided tour was provided by a knowledgeable guide, Nagendar Singh. Getting around the place was fairly easy. I was also pleased with my stay at Ranbanka Palace Hotel. I also got to try the local cuisine.

Jodhpur is a small but beautiful city with almost all tourist places close to each other. One could enjoy quality time calmly. One can plan for short term holidays. In two days almost all the beautiful places could be covered up and can enjoy authentic Rajasthani food too. Recommended to visit during winter.

After stays in Delhi, Agra and Jaipur it was a relief to come to Jodhpur. The city was full of interesting streets and markets to explore, fascinating history and architecture, with a grand fort on top of the hill.
We stayed for 2 days and enjoyed a walking tour of the city at night, an adrenaline-filled morning ziplining up at the fort and a 4 hour visit to Bishnoi village and the surrounding area. We would have happily stayed for another day or two if we had had the time.
We stayed in Khamma Heritage, in the heart of the old city, a very nice small hotel with lovely owners.
On the advice of others we ate one evening meal on the rooftop at Hotel Indique, in Pal Haveli. It was fantastic, with a wide range of Indian and non-Indian food and a good drinks menu. Blankets and heaters provided plenty of warmth on a chilly evening and the views were wonderful.

2 days are enough to cover Jophpur.
2 days are enough to cover Jophpur.
The locals are nice and friendly. I would suggest not to take big car to jodhpur as the streets are too narrow in the old city area (where most of the tourist spots are). If possible rent a two-wheeler there and cover all the spots otherwise you can also get autos.
You can visit Osian district where you can enjoy desert safari and cultural programs (food, dance, singing). There is a famous sachchai mata temple there. Its a must visit (very clean and quite with a beautiful view of the city).
Food:
Must tries-Vijay Restaurant (ask for their specials and they will recommend you the best, do ask for lassan ki chatni), Mishrilal lassi wala (try their Malayi lassi-just amazing). Rajasthani thali
Local finds: Pyaaz ki kachori, mewa kachori (if you are sweet tooth), mirchi bada, daal bada and kabuli.

We loved the city.
We loved the city. It was much cleaner than other indian cities. And it is walkable! You can see the pride of the people here to live here. Also lots of places for shopping and most cafe's have rooftop terraces. Always great view while eating.
We loved our stay at Suraj Haveli!
We felt so welcome and taken care of, unlike any other place during our travels in India. AJ, Vijay, Sima and the rest of the family will wholeheartedly open their home to you and make sure you have everything you need. The know everything about Jodhpur and always have good suggestions.
The location is convenient, the room was nice and spacious, very clean, good bathroom, and the best part is the rooftop terrace for breakfast or a sunset drink. Highly recommend to everyone coming to Jodhpur.
Very nice hotel. The whole property is stylish and has been decorated with great taste. It's peaceful and calm, a small paradise in the middle of Jodhpur. Nice garden where it's possible to have a drink or eat in the shade of trees. The staff is always helpful, hard working and well trained and the family owning this splendid "house" is very involved to make sure
The Holi party organized by the hotel was amazing.
After living 3 years in India, this is the best hotel we stayed in!
This was the only other 5 star property in Jodhpur. however, everything about the property is at best 3 star. the property needs lot of work to get to 5 star status.. we paid almost $8k for a dinner buffet which easily one of the worst I have ever had. I did not get hot water the first night we checked in. the room i stayed was next to a road with lot of road noise. however, the staff offered me to shift to a different room..
This was one of my favorite hotels during my month-long trip through India. When I arrived I was upgraded to a room with a view of the fort -- very nice. The room itself was spacious and clean and had a kind of classic decor. The hotel is right in the middle of the old town and the view of the fort from the rooftop restaurant is superb. Also the staff helped me arrange a safari tour and my onward bus ticket from Jodhpur.
We have booked this guest house by looking at the ambience and after reaching there, we had no regret on our decision. It was the best budget friendly place to stay at while in Jodhpur. The Mehrangarh fort view from the rooftop is the most amazing thing about this place. And, the home-cooked food by the owner was damn delicious which I think is the main reason behind our stay 🤗
The best food I've found in Jodhpur! The food is made individually per order with fresh veggies. It's delicious and the hosts are very kind and hospitable.
I also stayed for one nights in one of their rooms. Simple yet very comfy and at an affordable price in the old city center, only five minute walk from the fort. I really enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend it.
Great family, nice facilities, amazing food, cold beer, and an amazing view from the rooftop. The location is just under the fort and has to be one of the best in Jodhpur!
This is my last stop on a five-month trip, and staying here has been one of the highlights. Even added a couple days! Highly recommended and I hope to be back someday.
Location in the heart of Old Jodhpur, proximity to Clock Tower area, view of the fort from our window, rooftop garden and restaurant, comfortable bed, quick response by staff but absolutely the welcome and the service from the owner and staff put this on our short list of the most memorable places we’ve ever stayed.
It was the best hotel we had on our whole tour in India!! It was clean, small and we felt very much at home. Having dinner on the rooftop was the best thing ever:)). Not to forget the beautiful pool area and the exceptional furniture in the whole hotel! The rooms were huge and wonderful.
The hotel is run by great people. We had an idea of what we wanted to see in Jodhpur, but the host advised us in which order to do things to see the most in one day. That made our time in Jodhpur! And they told us where the best coffee is :) The view from the rooftop is great!
The property had everything, it’s the closest to what I’d describe as perfect (and that says a lot as I’m a hotelier myself!). Amicable and knowledgable staff, impeccable grounds, well appointed and comfortable rooms and plenty of Jodhpuri history infused into the vibe.
Boutique hotel close to train station. Very cute. We booked three rooms and all were different and very nice. The breakfast is fantastic. Both international and Indian options. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We also had dinner at the hotel and was delicious
It was nice experience staying in this palace hotel as we have been there before too in 2015 . Food is amazing and also the staff is co-operative. If you are visiting jodhpur and want some high class hotel then this is good choice in budget.
It was really nice experience with Hotel. Mr Nikhil is very cooperative and helpfull.
Rooms are clean and very good. Roof top fort view in night was really great. I recommend to stay if you are looking for budgeted hotel in Jodhpur.
An inspiring family from Nepal running this hotel. Great welcoming, great staff, decent rooms and best budget stay overall with maintenance of royal and old heritage look. Most beautiful is the roof top view.
Chef at Hotel is very good. Hospitality is good. Staff is ready to fulfil ur requirements to their best. Hotel owner is polite, cooperative, having good knowledge of jodhpur, guide well.
